\ SUSTAINABILITY \ DEVELOPMENT

Unico’s strategy is responsible development and we start by choosing urban in-fill sustainable sites. All developments must pursue LEED design, which includes utilizing natural daylight, recycling existing building materials in new construction, using sustainable construction products, and installing energy and water efficient systems.

Unico is selectively developing and redeveloping office, medical office, multifamily, and mixed use properties in major western cities and urban neighborhoods in the Pacific Northwest.

2006
The Cobb Apartments in Seattle, a redevelopment of a historical 1910 medical office building into 91 luxury, in-city apartments, received a LEED-NC Silver rating.

Unico developed Allenmore Medical Building C in Tacoma, Wash. and this building received a LEED-NC Silver certification.
